Internships are considered as the first job for any student. Students can gain the skills necessary for a particular job. There are several advantages with internships – it adds weight to your profile, practical knowledge will be developed, it takes you ahead of others while searching for a job.

Civil Engineering:Infrastructure companies are offering internships for civil engineering students. Site jobs, Computer Aided Design (CAD) are some of the areas for doing internship.

Types of Internships
There are two types of internships - Internships with employment where a student is offered job in the same company soon after completing internship and internships without employment where a job is not offered but certificate would be provided. These certificates will help students in getting job.

Stipend: Many companies provide stipend of Rs 5, 000 to Rs 8, 000 during internships. Some MNCs are offering stipend of Rs 20, 000 too. The amount of stipend also varies with their qualification.

  • Resume
  • Permission letter from Principal and HOD
  • Recommendation letter from Training and Placement Officer
  • Reference Letter
